Clam dip is my father in law’s all time favorite dip. It’s served on game day, the holidays, family gatherings…pretty much anytime there’s a party at their house. There’s a good reason why. It’s pretty darn tasty and straight up addicting. How can you go wrong with salty chips dipped in a creamy and savory dip? You can also serve this dip with veggies too. Here’s my mother in law’s recipe…it’s easy to make and will definitely be a favorite in your home too.
Clam Dip
Ingredients:
2 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
2 Tbs. mayonnaise
4 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
3 6.5 oz. cans of chopped clams, drained but reserve the juice
¼ tsp sea salt
pinch of garlic and onion powder
black pepper to taste
Directions:
-
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth (my mother in law likes to use a wooden spoon, but I’m lazy and like to use a hand mixer or a stand mixer). Add Worcestershire sauce, ½ to ¾ C of the reserved clam juice and stir until well incorporated and smooth.
-
Add clams, sea salt and season with a pinch of garlic, onion powder and black pepper to taste, stir with a large spoon to combine.
-
Place in refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours.
-
Serve with potato chips or veggies.
Enjoy!!

That is such a great idea. I’m sure this would go great with some garlic toast too!
Delish, I thought I was the only closet clam dip lover. Your father in law has great taste!
Clam dip needs to make a comeback. I haven’t even seen it
after moving to the West Coast from Boston. And it IS totally
addictive.
