It’s the perfect weather to cozy up with a warm and comforting bowl of tomato soup and a hot grilled cheese sandwich. This is exactly what I did last week for lunch. I headed to Panera Bread for a bowl of vegetarian creamy tomato soup and a “big kid grilled cheese”. I was inspired to make this comforting meal for Derrick this week. I’ve always wanted to make my own tomato soup. It’s a good feeling knowing exactly what you’re eating and that you made it with good fresh ingredients.

Tart Cherry Soup is a tart and slightly sweet soup that is served chilled and is very refreshing. It would be a great summer soup. With Valentine’s Day around the corner this pink hue soup would be a romantic starter.
Kara-Áge is a popular Japanese dish of bite size fried chicken, which can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as a meal. The nuggets of chicken are lightly coated in a starch and flour mixture that is seasoned with soy and ginger. It’s moist, tender, flavorful and crunchy.
Our 4th Alexia Foods”Reivent a Classic” French Fry challenge has us exploring Mexican flavors. Chili and lime is a classic Mexican combination that works. You get the spicy kick from the tajin and the fresh tang from the lime zest and juice with a touch of saltiness from sea salt and the mild and crumbly cotija cheese. The flavors are bright and makes for an addicting French fry.
The key indredient for these easy Herb & Parmesan French Fries is Herb de Provence, a mixture of dried rosemary, lavender, basil, fennel, marjoram, savory and thyme. These fries are aromatic and savory with a touch of saltiness from the sea salt & parmesan cheese. These French fries would be great with a juicy burger or a sophisticated steak or chicken dish. It’s a classy European take on an American classic.
