This no oil or butter banana bread recipe has been a favorite with both my coworkers and neighbors. All natural apple sauce is used to create this very easy, chocolatey, moist banana bread. Pear and vanilla go so well together creating a jam that is fragrant and sweet. The little specks of vanilla is gorgeously dispersed throughout the jam which packs a lot of flavor. This pear and vanilla bean jam is great on toast, mixed into Greek yogurt and even warmed up and drizzled over vanilla ice cream. I’ve also have enjoyed it straight out of the jar with a spoon. It’s pretty darn good!
It’s the holiday season and granola is a fun treat to make to share with your friends and family. It can be packaged in cute mason jars for gifting and the best part is that’s easy to make. This holiday granola is punched up with aromatic nutmeg and cinnamon which are are the perfect holiday spices. Pecans, cranberries, dates, maple syrup and white chocolate chips adds texture and a touch of sweetness to the granola. The scent of it baking just makes the house smell festive.
Tart Cherry Soup is a tart and slightly sweet soup that is served chilled and is very refreshing. It would be a great summer soup. With Valentine’s Day around the corner this pink hue soup would be a romantic starter.
Cranberry sauce is a tradition at the holidays. There’s just something about the festive red hue that makes the dinner table complete. The sauce is sweet and tart which helps balance the rich and decadent dishes usually served at Thanksgiving and Christmas. With a few fresh ingredients you can whip up a bowl of homemade cranberry sauce that everyone will be impressed with. I’ve added pears, orange zest, a hint of cinnamon and vanilla to add texture and another layer of flavor. The best part is that you can make this up to a week in advance. Just store in an air tight container in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
