Baked Spaghetti

baked spaghetti

There’s nothing fancy about this dish… it’s just pure comfort on a plate.  It’s the familiar flavors of spaghetti and lasagna that many of us love baked in a dish and layered with ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.  How could you go wrong, right?   It’s great for gatherings, potlucks and you can make it ahead of time and bake it later.  I made this on a week night so it’s easy enough to whip up when you’re pressed for time and Derrick went back for 2nds and packed it for lunch the next day… so it’s been husband approved (by my husband anyhow).

I love the simplicity and attractiveness of this dish. My husband and son would love this dish, and it’s something fancy looking to serve during the week, but it’s nice enough for company too.

    Cheers,

    Alaiyo

This just brought me back to my college days of ordering baked spaghetti at the nearby Chinese cafe. Will definitely give this a try since the hubby and I always crave a good bowl of spaghetti once in awhile. Simplicity is delicious.

I HAVE BEEN BUYING LA ROMANELLA GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE FROM “SMART AND FINAL” GROCERY STORES FOR YEARS…IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN REAL WHITE IN COLOR. I PURCHASED IT THE OTHER DAY AT “S AND F” AND IT IS LARGER SHREDS AND AND IS AN ORANGISH COLOR. THE PACKAGE IS EXACTLY THE SAME. WHAT HAS HAPPENED? I HAVE TRIED TO GET THEIR ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER ON INTERNET SO I COULD CALL THEM…CANNOT FIND.

PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER….THANK YOU

Hi Beverlie, I’m sorry to report that I don’t know the answer to that one. The package I bought looks like shredded Parmesan – white in color.
