Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This no oil or butter banana bread recipe has been a favorite with both my coworkers and neighbors. All natural apple sauce is used to create this very easy, chocolatey, moist banana bread. I created this recipe while on maternity leave and now it's my go to recipe. The brown sugar and cinnamon really adds depth to the bread. Pear and Vanilla Bean Jam

Pear and vanilla go so well together creating a jam that is fragrant and sweet. The little specks of vanilla is gorgeously dispersed throughout the jam which packs a lot of flavor. This pear and vanilla bean jam is great on toast, mixed into Greek yogurt and even warmed up and drizzled over vanilla ice cream. I've also have enjoyed it straight out of the jar with a spoon. Can It Forward Day 2013 & Giveaway

August 17th is National Can-It-Forward Day! This year's event will be broadcasting from Union Square Greenmarket in New York City from 10:00am to 2:00pm EST. Food Network's Ted Allen will be sharing his expertise at the event. Can-It-Forward Day is really an opportunity to learn how to preserve fresh foods and share canning knowledge with each other. To participate you can either watch online, host a canning party, or join the event in person. Additional giveaways from Ball brand will be offered on August 17th to those to tune in.
